In our group, we discussed each of the strands of the standards for middle school students.
We broke each of the areas down into whether or not regular classroom teachers can and should
be asked to take on the task of teaching this standard. We determined that some of the standards
would require the help and tutelage of a trained computer teacher.
Basic Operations:
By the time students enter the middle school level, they should have a good base of knowledge for
using technology to help their learning. Basic operations should be in place by this time.
